On the 25 of August  a meeting of members of the Agreement on the Cooperation of Operators of Transshipment Terminals and Logistics Centers of Central and Eastern Europe took place at the headquarters of the Maritime Port of Gdynia S.A. The Silesian Logistics Center added into an agreement in May 2018 and was one of the first signatories of this agreement.
During the meeting six new members joined the Agreement: PKP CARGO CONNECT, Bałtycki Terminal Kontenerowy Sp. z o.o., Advanced World Transport S.A. (PKP CARGO Group) and management of seaports in Elbląg, Kołobrzeg and Police.
The aim of the initiative is to undertake joint activities at creating an entity called “Organization of operators of handling terminals and logistics centers in Central and Eastern Europe”, which will enable cooperation in the promotion of potential of these entities among clients of logistic services in Poland and abroad. The organization is also supposed to integrate stakeholders in the planning and implementation of investment and business projects, as well as the implementation of the latest technologies in logistics processes using national and European financial resources.
