Gliwice Port Station

The  reconstruction of the Gliwice Port which serves trains going to the Silesian Logistics Center is slowlny coming to the end.
Another stage for Customers of the Silesian Logistics Center S.A. is currently in the public procurement phase for the design part of the project “Works on basic passenger routes (E30 and E65) in the area of ÔÇőÔÇőSilesia, stage II: line E 30 on the Katowice – Chorz├│w Batory and Gliwice ┼üab─Ödy sections”. An important element of the task is further planned expansion of the Gliwice Port station. Providing access from the west from the side of the Gliwice Labedy station without having to travel through the Gliwice station will significantly improve communication and will reduce the inconveniences manoeuvre associated with the change of the direction of the train.
In the scope of the project, a single track connecting the Gliwice Łabędy and Gliwice Port stations is mentioned, while in the concept of the track system a reserve for the second track is planned.
This is the third stage of the entire task in the area of ÔÇőÔÇőSilesia. Currently, the selection of the company which will be preparing project documentation is underway. Opening ┬áthe offers for the implementation of project documentation took place on 26 September.
